No longer do you have to walk all the way over to a store or a bakery and go to the hassle getting your order carefully back home in one piece. We'll do it for you! Savvy Treats is now delivering cupcakes to your doorstep anywhere in DC, MD or VA. We offer you a wide variety of flavours to choose from:

You can order any of the above in any assortment with a minimum order of 12. A new addition to our shop is the mini-cupcake which is available in the same flavours as mentioned with a minimum order of 24.

Savvy Treats at Your Event

No matter what event you are hosting, be it a birthday, a wedding, a Bar Mitzvah or any other festivity, we will make sure that our cupcakes are delivered safely to you. We will gladly accept your calls and messages for the details, and if you are unable to do so we also have an online order form which you can fill out in a jiffy.

Apart from that we also provide you with the service of catering at your party. You can contact us and tell us what it is that you require from our existing menu or have it customized especially for you. So whichever event that you are planning, let us make it a little more delightful.

Party Favor Fun

With our new party favors, you can have your guests go home with their own Savvy Treats. Choose from our variety of cupcakes or mini-cupcakes and add your own touch with a personal message. Include them in your order as a perfect way to thank your friends for being a part of your special day. Please keep in mind that currently our catering and delivery system is limited to the DC, MD and VA metropolitan area.

Dinner at Gus's BBQ, Plus Their New Party Trailer (South Pasadena, CA)

Gus's BBQ is a beloved spot for South Pasadena locals, who keep the restaurant packed every night. When you go, be sure to get the Cast Iron Cornbread ($6.95), made with Sweet Pennsylvanian corn and served with Jalapeno jelly (and make sure to try the jalapeno jelly!)

A good appetizer to share for a big party is the Pulled Pork Nachos ($10.95): homemade tortilla chips topped with pulled pork, four cheese sauce, bbq baked beans, smoked mozzarella, jack cheese, tomato, red onion, guacamole, and a bbq drizzle. Talk about loaded nachos!


There's a bourbon-focused cocktail menu here with items like Blood Orange Manhattan and Mint Julep. The Mint Julep is served in a proper julep cup with crushed ice. They also have a dozen beers on tap with seasonal selections and some good local selections.

FIG Restaurant Launches Catering Service with Whole Pork

FIG Restaurant at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel recently launched a catering arm (available mostly for events held at the hotel and select off-site events). Just walking into their launch party I already know what I want to have at my wedding (if and when that happens): a whole roasted pig brined in pineapple in chile arbol!

Don't eat pork? For their launch party, FIG also prepared a gigantic whole grilled fish

The meat from the two was used to make tacos with island influence (the pork taco was topped with pineapple and the fish had mango salsa). Stay until the end of the night, though, when they start handing out pieces of the crispy pork skin. Cracklins!

Now, if you'd like a more traditional bites for your event, they can certainly deliver with spoons of quinoa salad, mini lobster rolls, grilled beef skewers with chimichurri sauce, and oh-so-tender braised short ribs.

SoHo Taco Tasting

When Bill the Street Gourmet LA invites you for some tacos, how can you not go? This time it's not a purist, authentic regional Mexican food, though, but Soho Taco, a Santa Ana-based catering company serving "modern" tacos but still has traditional meats, toppings, and fresh tortillas.

Since SoHo Taco currently only has catering (according to them, a food truck will be hitting the streets in October), they and Bill had to find another venue to have the lunch. Well, Bill lives nearby and a well known regular at La Descarga, so we lucky friends not only had some tacos, but also got to see La Descarga in daylight for the first time.
