Very Fond of Food
A Year in Recipes
Written by Sophie Dahl

Hardcover, 288 pages
Also available as an eBook

Very Fond of Food is a beautiful book with 100 recipes divided by season and time of day. The recipes celebrate health conscious eating and living, with plenty of indulgence thrown in too.
It is beautifully photographed and filled with humourous anecdotes from Sophie's life. Most importantly - it's delicious!

Sophie Dahl comes from a wonderfully talented family - my personal favourite being her grandfather, author Roald Dahl. She has been a model and an author and works very hard for a variety of charities.

This is Sophie's second book of recipes, and she has a popular cooking show on the BBC.

If you haven't seen Sophie Dahl yet, you'll fall instantly in love like I did. Reminiscent of Nigella Lawson, she is lovely and fun with a glorious ease in the kitchen and wonderful sense of humour.

In our KitchenPuppy kitchen we indulged in some of her more comforting dishes.

Sophie's Heartbreak Carbonara - who could resist? Deliciously decadent, creamy with eggy goodness and studded with bacon, all in slippery pasta. We all had seconds. You will too!

And I am a fool for rice pudding of course - I had to try hers. Subtly sweet, she uses basmati rice, cinnamon and a touch of orange flower water in her Rhubarb Rice Pudding, The rhubarb is given its own Eastern spicing for a deliciously exotic take on my favourite dessert.
